A Brewski for Your Bones

Need another excuse to enjoy a cold one on a hot summer day? A recent study published in the Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture confirmed that beer is a rich source of silicon, a valuable mineral for increasing bone density.
This study and other similar research suggests that moderate beer consumption may help fight osteoporosis.

But not all beers are created equal. Brews with the highest levels of malted barley and hops contain the most silicon.

So, reach for an ale over a lager and savour the cool, bone-building suds.
