Who knew that what we were all missing from our lives was a rom-com featuring four middle-aged women and a saucy book reading of a certain erotic bestseller?

If the trailer for the upcoming comedy Book Club is any indication, audiences are in for a treat: Jane Fonda, Diane Keaton, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen team up to play four longtime friends who decide to add a little spice to their ploddingly dull book club by reading Fifty Shades of Grey — author E.L. James’ erotic tale of the world of S&M.

“We started this club to stimulate our minds,” Bergen’s character complains in the trailer.

“From what I hear, this book is quite stimulating,” Fonda’s character quips in response.

Needless to say, these four gal pals are more than a little shocked — and, not to mention, titillated — by the words on the page.

The film also stars Richard Dreyfuss, Craig T. Nelson, Andy Garcia — and Don Johnson, whose daughter, Dakota, starred in the Fifty Shades film trilogy.

Book Club hits theaters on May 18, 2018.
