Calling Conrad

Conrad Black – the former media tycoon, former “guest” of the American government, British Lord and presently columnist for the National Post, not to mention the host of a new television talk show The Zoomer on VisionTV (a division of ZoomerMedia) which launches in the fall – has written a new book and is out and about in Toronto today promoting it. Flight of the Eagle: A Strategic History of the United States spans the history of our southern neighbours from the New World through the outcome of the 2012 presidential election. Black examines the rise of the world’s supreme power, its recent decline and its ultimate strengths and future as well as the contributions of leading figures including founding fathers Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson through to Presidents Abraham Lincoln, Franklin D. Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan.

Tonight, Black and friends celebrate the launch at Toronto bookshop Ben McNally.
