The original plans had hinted at Botswana or at least a safari somewhere in the wilds of Africa where the dynamic duo had spent a few romantic nights in the early days of their whirlwind courtship. But now word has escaped royal watcher lips that the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Alberta, a remote high-end resort smack in Jasper National Park is the choice de jour.

The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is on 700 acres and wraps around the shores of pristine Lac Beauvert. Jasper National Park is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which plays well into Prince Harry’s love of wildlife conversation..  The spot has played to royalty before – King George IV and the Queen Mum, The Queen and Prince Philip. And yes, Hollywood princess Marilyn Monroe. The latter should make actress Meghan feel right at home.

Only in Canada, you say? Pity.
