Canadian Designers Give Back this Holiday Season

Pink Tartan and Keuring Designer Cup for Charity

Pink Tartan and Keuring's Designer Cup for Charity

This holiday season, a couple of Canadian designers are not forgetting the importance of giving back to their communities.

Pink Tartan’s creative director Kimberley Newport-Mimran joined forces with Keurig – the company that makes those single serving coffee brewing machines – to create a collectable coffee mug.

Pink Tartan’s feminine elegance can be found on the tall white mug, which features a stylish illustration of the designer walking her dog. One hundred per cent of the profits from the sale of this special limited-edition cup will support Toronto East General Hospital.

Jeremy Laing, another Canadian design star, paired up with artist Micah Lexier to collaborate on a limited-edition series of scarves. The sales of the graphic and colourful Dot Puzzle design scarves will help support The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery.

Whether you give them to a special someone or keep for yourself, these are two unique gifts helping make a contribution to worthwhile institutions.
