Cattrall vs. Reporter

Kim Cattrall has played an array of characters- her latest as an aging former porn star, stripping to make ends meet in Meet Monica Velour. The film premiered last night and Cattrall was not happy with one reporter from The New York Post who approached her on her way out. The reporter decided to ask the actress about bikini waxes to which she responded, “That’s a stupid question. You’re a smart girl. How could you want to write that?”
It seems the actress would have rather been asked about being an actress in Hollywood in her 50s as she was quoted saying, “Ask me about being a woman. Do you know what it’s like to be 54 and marginalized? It doesn’t get easier as you get older.” It was then revealed that the reporter had not even seen the film to which Cattrall rightfully inquired, “Why are you even here?”
Kim Cattrall has always spoken quite openly about her disapproval of Hollywood’s obsession with youth and beauty, a subject close to home for us here at Zoomer. Cattrall’s latest film hits theatres on April 8.
