Gardening Trends: Celebrate Canada 150 With A New Rose

Garden season is finally here and to help kick it off we introduce the biggest trends featured at Canada’s largest garden and flower festival, Canada Blooms.

The buzz around Canada’s 150th anniversary has made it’s way into green thumb culture. Expect to see more red and white flower displays at private gardens, parks and botanical gardens throughout the year.

And, for those of us who want to get in on the action, the rose has made its return. Gardening expert, Denis Flanagan suggests planting the Canadian Shield—a beautiful rose that’s resistant to black spot and mildew.
