Dana Thomas on Her Book ‘Gods and Kings’

Does fashion eat its young? How does a designer survive in the go-go business side of fashion? And what does the future hold for the industry?

In this edition of Zoomer magazine’s roundtable, we sit down with Dana Thomas, the author behind the book, Gods and Kings: The Rise and Fall of Alexander McQueen and John Galliano. Thomas is a New York Times best-selling author and a journalist having worked at the Washington Post and Newsweek. She’s also written for the New Yorker, the Wall Street Journal, Vogue magazine and the Financial Times.

This roundtable is led by Zoomer editor-in-chief Suzanne Boyd and Zoomer fashion director Derick Chetty. They are joined by Linda Perisa, owner of the well-known women’s specialty boutique, 119 Corbo.
