Romance: Keep The Passion Alive At Any Age

Keeping the passion alive in a relationship is a good thing, according to researchers at Stony Brook University in New York.

They reviewed 17 studies of short-term relationships among the younger set and 10 long-term relationship studies of middle-aged couples married for 10 years or more. Published in the Review of General Psychology last year, the researchers reported that “long-term romantic love (with intensity, sexual interest and engagement but without the obsession element common in new relationships) appears to be a real phenomenon that may enhance individuals’ lives — positively associated with marital satisfaction, mental health and overall well-being.”
