Jodie Foster: Actor Turned Director

48-year-old Jodie Foster says she might done with acting.

She’s spent 45 years as an actor, debuting as a Coppertone baby, and is ready to take on the roll of director.

After directing the latest Mel Gibson drama, The Beaver, she has already moved on to direct a science fiction film and is not looking back.

She says, “I’ve reached that point where I don’t want to act very much anymore.  I am much more interested in holding off on acting, after 45 years as an actor.  It’s a long period of time to do the same
