Prince Carl Philip pays tribute to aunt

Newlyweds Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden paid tribute to his late aunt Lilian on Friday (28.08.15).
The Swedish royals attended the opening of the exhibition, Clothes of a Princess – the Lilian Look, at Stockholm’s Royal Palace.
Former model Lilian Davies – who died in 2013 – became a princess when she married Sweden’s Prince Bertil in 1976 and the new exhibit displays 30 years of vintage couture from her personal collection.
Carl Philip’s mother Queen Silvia joined the newlyweds at the exhibition and said: “It is sometimes said that the clothes make the woman. But with Princess Lilian it was the opposite. In her case, it was the woman who made the clothes.”
30-year-old Sofia, Duchess of Värmland married Carl Philip, 36, in June, six years after they started dating.
Speaking about his former reality TV star wife, he previously said: “Above all, she’s beautiful and has beautiful eyes. But she’s also a fantastic person. She’s down to earth and has a wonderful personality. There are so many good things to say about her.
“I don’t think I knew the magic of love before I met Sofia. But ever since I met her, I’ve seen how love can change a person.”
