Prince William And Kate Middleton To Visit Canada Again

It was announced earlier today that Prince William and Kate Middleton will visit Canada again in the fall.

The statement, released by Governor General David Johnston and his wife, Sharon Johnston, said the couple will “be delighted to welcome Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to Canada. Our true Canadian pride and spirit will shine and be at the very heart of this visit so they can feel at home.”

Earlier this month, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau sent a letter inviting the royal couple to Canada. The trip here will be their first since becoming parents. William and Kate last visited Canada for nine days back in 2011, shortly after their wedding.

This time around, they’ll be visiting British Columbia and the Yukon.

A spokesperson for Kensington Palace released the following statement: “They hold very happy memories from their visit in 2011—their first overseas tour as a married couple. They are really looking forward to seeing other parts of this beautiful country and having the opportunity to meet many more Canadians along the way.”

A full itinerary of the couples stay will be revealed at a later date. It’s unknown whether children Prince George and Princess Charlotte will accompany their parents.
