Stamps honouring Princess Charlotte released

New stamps honouring Britain’s Princess Charlotte have been released on the Isle of Man.
The collection, in tribute to the new born royal – who was welcomed into the world by her parents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on Saturday (02.05.15) – also includes envelopes and a special folder in celebration of the tot, who is now fourth-in-line to the throne.
According to BBC News, a spokesperson for the post office said: “[We are] delighted to join in the royal celebrations following the birth”.
A similar collection was also issued when Princess Charlotte’s older brother Prince George was born in July 2013, as well as to mark the Duke and Duchess’ wedding in 2011.
Meanwhile, Duchess Catherine, 33, and Prince William, 32 – who are expected to travel to their residence Amner Hall in Norfolk today (05.05.15) – have already thanked well-wishers for their kind words following the birth.
A statement from the royal family on Twitter read “Their Royal Highnesses would like to thank all staff at the hospital for the care and treatment they have all received.
“They would also like to thank everyone for their warm wishes.”
