Zuckerberg Beats Job in Forbes 400 List
Forbes 400 List of the richest Americans has been revealed. The biggest shocker on the list? CEO Mark Zuckerberg is now ahead of Apple CEO Steve Jobs.
Steven Bertoni of Forbes says that the 26-year-old Zuckerberg added $4.9 billion to his fortune, placing him at #35 on the list with his estimated $6.9 billion. His numbers have jumped because of private equity investments in Facebook that have valued the firm at approximately $23 billion- more than triple its $7 billion in 2009. Jobs sits at #42.
Zuckerberg and Jobs are the eight and ninth richest techies on the list. Bill Gates is number one of the tech category.
This is not the only news that is bringing Facebook CEO Zuckerberg into the spotlight, other than the new film The Social Network due to be released on Friday, Zuckerberg has promised to donate $100 million to help Newark schools in need.
