The longest running drama on Canadian television turns 50 today! Coronation Street, which turns 50 today, has been airing in Canada for almost 40 years and has a large and diverse following, including Snoop Dogg. The rapper has been a loyal viewer for the past 11 years and asked for a cameo on the soap opera last summer.

Canadian television host Debbie Travis was born and raised near the soap opera’s set and has also been a devoted fan. So devoted, in fact, she has created a documentary called Corrie Crazy: Canada Loves Cornation Street. Travis revisits the infamous street to find out why Canadians love the show so much.

Corrie Crazy: Canada Loves Cornation Street airs December 9 at 8 p.m. ET on CBC
