Blue Rodeo made the Polaris Prize long list, announced today, for their epic double album The Things We Left Behind (Warner).

In its fifth year, the Polaris Prize awards the best Canadian album based solely on artistic merit. Past winners include Patrick Watson and Caribou – hip indie favourites – so Blue

Rodeo’s inclusion is a great coup for the Zoomer-aged quintet. The long list of 40 nominees will be narrowed to 10 on July 6.
