The Huron Carole Benefit Concert Series

The Huron Carole

Here’s a fun outing to add to your holiday agenda this season: the Huron Carole Benefit Concert Series that raises funds for food banks across the nation.

Making stops from Halifax to Victoria until December 19 the concert features a round-up of Canadian musical talent including Tom Jackson, George Canyon, Beverley Mahood, One More Girl, and Vancouver-based singer/songwriter Shannon Gaye.

The event was founded in 1987 by Tom Jackson, who is probably best known for his roles on TV in shows like CBC’s North of 60 and Star Trek: The Next Generation. He is also an accomplished singer/songwriter with 15 albums under his belt including the seasonally appropriate 2011 release, ’Twas in the Moon of Wintertime.
