Michael Douglas is Cancer-Free

According to People.com, in an interview to air Tuesday on the Today Show with Matt Lauer, Michael Douglas announces that after months of chemo and radiation he no longer has a tumour.

He says, “The tumour is gone. But, you know, I have to check out on a monthly basis now to maintain.”

And he is slowly getting back his appetite after losing about 32 pounds. He says, “I’ve put about 12 back. But, I mean, I got another 20, 25 to go.”

The optimistic actor is hoping it is all behind him, saying, “What I know about this particular type of cancer [is] that I’ve got it beat.”
