Dion is Back in Vegas and Better Than Ever

By Brooke Benjamin

After a four-year hiatus, Céline Dion made an awe-inspiring return to Las Vegas last night. Just a short five months after giving birth to twins, Dion took the stage in various fitted sparkly numbers looking as svelte as ever.  The Canadian singer belted out a selection of songs that led to her stardom including My Heart Will Go On and Because You Loved Me. She also paid tribute to stars before her, singing songs by Michael Jackson, Billy Joel and Ella Fitzgerald. The show has undergone a transformation. Gone are the acrobat-style dancers, which have been replaced with a 31-person orchestra all dressed in tuxedos and gowns giving a classic old Hollywood feel. Dion’s first show, A New Day, grossed more than  $400 million and with ticket sales for the new show already surpassing the previous pace of sales, it seems Dion is back with a vengeance.
