Winnipeg hockey fans may finally be getting their own hockey team again. Although nothing is yet confirmed, numerous media reports here and here are suggesting that the Atlanta Thrashers will soon be purchased by Winnipeg’s True North Sports, bringing hockey back to the prairies after a 15-year absence. News of the impending deal touched off an impromptu road hockey game at corner of Portage and Main.
