Comedian Russell Peters and Pepto-Bismol Help Canada’s Food Banks

With Thanksgiving less than a week away, comedian Russell Peters has teamed up with Procter & Gamble’s Pepto-Bismol brand to help Canadians in need this Thanksgiving through its Feast For All campaign. From now until Oct. 10, consumers can log onto the brand’s Facebook page where they will find a picture of Peters in front of a big juicy bird. Pepto-Bismol will donate $1 to Food Banks Canada for every “like” the picture receives.
“Thanksgiving is one of my favourite holidays and the best one to wear sweat pants to dinner,” said Russell Peters.  “I’ve been lucky enough to have had fantastic Thanksgiving dinners over the years and feel that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy this great holiday.  So I’ve teamed up with Pepto-Bismol and Food Banks Canada to encourage Canadians to help give back to those in need this Thanksgiving.”

The goal is to raise $25,000 dollars. Approximately 900,000 Canadians use food banks across Canada, a third are children.
