Toronto to get the Royal Treatment

An exhibit featuring Grace Kelly’s letters, photos and home movies will debut in Toronto next month. According to organizers, Kelly’s newlywed son, Prince Albert II of Monaco and his wife Princess Charlene will be attending a private reception as well as the grand opening event of “Grace Kely: From Movie Star to Princess” on Nov. 2.

The public will be able to view the exhibit starting Nov. 4 until Jan. 22, 2012 at the TIFF Bell Lightbox. Visitors will be able to see a replica of Kelly’s wedding gown, her “Kelly bag” and tiara, telegrams from Prince Rainier, her Academy Award for “The Country Girl,” many of her original dresses and more.

TIFF director Piers Handling said it is an “honour” and  “great priviledge” to have Prince Albert and Princess Charlene open the exhibition.
