Alec Baldwin is Kicked Off Flight, Tweets About It

Alec Baldwin was kicked off an American Airlines flight Tuesday for playing a game on his iPhone.

“Alec was asked to leave the flight for playing Words with Friends while parked at the gate” the 30 Rock star’s rep told People magazine. “He loves WWF so much that he was willing to leave a plane for it, but he has already boarded another AA flight.”

According to Baldwin, who wrote a series of tweets about the situation, an angry American Airlines flight attendant got angry with him for playing the game while the plane sat in the gate. Baldwin refused to turn the game off, and as a result he was removed from the Los Angeles-bound flight and forced to take a later one.

“Now, as I was kicked off this flight, the word I was playing was UNITED,” Baldwin tweeted in what appears to be a free plug for one of American Airlines‚ competitors.

Accompanying some of the actor’s other tweets were hashtags such as #nowonderamericanisbankrupt and #theresalwaysunited. Baldwin also tweeted that he wouldn’t be flying with American Airlines again.

However, according to sources there were other reasons for his exit than just playing a game. A crew member told reporters Baldwin was “violent, abusive and aggressive.” As well, a passenger told the New York Post that Baldwin was talking on his phone.
