Couple Dies Hours Apart After 61 Years of Marriage

After 61 years together, Nancy and Richard Trimmer of Pennsylvania died just hours apart on Sunday according to the Associated Press. Nancy was 71 and Richard81.

Nancy died in her sleep at 12:25 a.m. The couple’s children travelled to their father’s hospital to share the terrible news and noticed that Richard (who was in the hospital recovering from a fall and was was also fighting kidney failure, lung cancer and heart problems) was fading fast. The 81-year-old died 12 hours later.

The couple, who had been together since high school, were madly in love and rarely apart from each other. They are survived by six children and 10 grandchildren.
