Tickets to have dinner with Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sell for £22,000

Tickets to have dinner with Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sell for £22,230.
Members of the public have reportedly paid thousands of pounds for the chance to dine with the royal couple, both 32, at the Brooklyn Nets v Cleveland Cavaliers basketball match.
The match takes place tomorrow night (09.12.14) at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York. The venue can hold up to 17,732 spectators who will undoubtedly be hoping to catch a glimpse of the British royals.
Plenty of stars are also planning to attend the match, including showbiz power couple Beyonce Knowles and Jay Z.
Cleveland Cavaliers player LeBron James has revealed he was “honoured” to play in front of the Duke and Duchess.
He told ESPN: “It’s a huge honour. The stuff that you read about, people like them are only in books growing up. And to hear that they’re coming to town to see me play and they want to see me do what I do best, it’s a huge honour.
“Well I’ve had people from all across the board as far as stature, but the President of the United States, that was pretty huge.
“To have those two, to say they were travelling here and one of the things that they wanted to do was see me play, it’s a pretty big deal in my household.”
The Duke and Duchess will also have an audience with ‘Saving Mr Banks’ actor Tom Hanks at a gala dinner to celebrate the 600th anniversary of St Andrews university – where Catherine and Prince William first met and fell in love.
