Duchess of Cambridge enjoys ‘private’ birthday celebration

Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge is spending her 33rd birthday (09.01.15) having a quiet celebration.
The Duchess – who was known as Kate Middleton prior to her marriage to Prince William in 2011 – is currently pregnant with her second child and is spending her birthday at her newly-renovated country home, Anmer Hall, with her husband and their 17-month-old son Prince George.
A Buckingham Palace source told PEOPLE magazine that they are “spending the day privately”.
After her birthday weekend, the Duchess will turn her attention to the public engagements she has planned for later this month.
For instance, on Monday, January 19, the Duchess will undertake a day of engagements in Kensington, London.
She will make three separate appearances in the London borough, including opening the new Kensington Leisure Centre, where her husband Prince William had swimming lessons.
The Duchess will attend a coffee morning at Family Friends, which provides mentoring services to families in deprived areas of the borough.
She will also formally open Kensington Aldridge Academy, which is for pupils aged 11 to 18.
The Duchess will be given a guided tour of the new building and watch part of a lesson.
