Prince Charles US trip itinerary revealed

Britain’s Prince Charles will focus on sustainability and youth opportunities during his trip to the US.
The 66-year-old Prince of Wales and his wife, Duchess Camilla, are planning on promoting the UK’s partnership with the country in the two key areas and have several activities planned in Washington and Kentucky during the four day trip in an attempt to continue to make progress.
Commencing on Wednesday (18.03.15), Charles will visit Washington DC to speak with Global Ocean Commission Co-chairs David Miliband and José María Figueres about the threats of marine plastic waste, along with representatives from relevant organisations and major companies, while the Duchess visits a theatre company for young people.
Clarence House revealed the couple will remain in Washington on Thursday (19.03.15), where Charles will visit an educational facility for the adult immigrant population of the area, before the pair are reunited for a trip to Kentucky on Friday (20.03.15) where they will attend a Cultural Festival hosted by the Governor of Kentucky and Mayor of Louisville.
While in Kentucky, the Duchess of Cornwall will also visit Neighbourhood House community centre, as well as a reception for international welfare organisation The Brooke USA, where she will meet patrons and supporters, having been named the Brooke’s President in 2006.
The trip will be the 20th time the prince has visited the US in an official capacity, while Camilla has visited twice before with her husband, in 2005 and 2007.
