Prince William ‘genuinely excited’ for FA Cup Final

Britain’s Prince William is “genuinely excited” to watch the FA Cup Final on Saturday (30.05.15), according to soccer legend Gary Lineker.
The 54-year-old former England star and current sports broadcaster has interviewed the prince for the BBC’s ‘Match of the Day’ show and has revealed the 32-year-old royal cannot wait for the match which will see the royal’s favourite team Aston Villa take on Arsenal at Wembley Stadium for the historic trophy.
Linekar – who represented the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona before making the move into broadcasting – said: “It was fascinating to spend some time with the Duke of Cambridge and hear more about his passion for the game.
“He is genuinely excited about the Cup Final and it’s great that we can showcase his enthusiasm for Villa to the ‘Match of the Day’ audience.”
Prince William has served as President of England’s Football Association since May 2006 and during a recent visit to the National Football Centre in Staffordshire, he admitted to feeling anxious about the outcome of the showpiece event at Wembley.
He said: “It’s either going to be a very good day for me, or a very bad day.”
