Prince Charles pays visit to Hatfield House

Britain’s Prince Charles paid a “private visit” to Hatfield House on Tuesday (26.05.15).
The 66-year-old royal met with Lord Salisbury, hereditary owner of the Jacobean mansion, to visit the iconic landmark in Hatfield, England, where he looked at some of the recent redevelopments of the property.
An estate spokesman said: “The Prince of Wales made a private visit to the Marquess and Marchioness of Salisbury at Hatfield House on Tuesday.
“During his visit he undertook a brief tour of Old Hatfield to discuss the future regeneration plans for Salisbury Square and to see some recent developments undertaken by the estate.
“The Prince of Wales also met with members of the University of Hertfordshire from the Centre for Sustainable Communities.”
Meanwhile, the prince recently revealed himself to be thrilled by the birth of his granddaughter Princess Charlotte, admitting he hopes she’ll care for him when he’s “very old”.
Speaking earlier this month at his first public appearance since the birth of his second grandchild, the prince joked: “I was hoping for a grand-daughter – someone to look after me when I am very old.”
