Eniola Aluko says Prince William is like ‘an old friend’

England soccer star Eniola Aluko has likened Britain’s Prince William to an “old friend”.
The 28-year-old forward recently helped her side claim third place at the Women’s World Cup in Canada and has revealed that having met the 33-year-old prince both before and after the competition, they’ve struck up a good rapport.
She said: “We met the Prince just before we went to the World Cup and seeing him again was almost like catching up with an old friend.”
The prince is a noted fan of the sport and recently admitted he’d like his own son, 23-month-old Prince George, to follow in his footsteps by supporting Aston Villa.
He shared: “The responsible thing would be to say, to let [George] make his own mind up, but I think I might be quite biased.
“I haven’t quite worked out how to play that yet. Of course he can support whoever he wants, but if he supports Villa, it’d be fantastic. I’d love to go to the odd match with him in the future.
“It’ll probably end up being that [Princess] Charlotte is the Villa fan and George will go and support someone else!”
