Prince Charles has a new harpist

Britain’s Prince Charles has a new personal harpist.
The 66-year-old royal has appointed Anne Denholm, 23, to the coveted position and she made her debut in the role on Wednesday evening (08.07.15), when she performed for the Prince, the Duchess of Cornwall and 60 guests at the couple’s Welsh home.
Anne played using the prince’s personal harp and subsequently told PEOPLE magazine: “They said they enjoyed it. I think they are enjoying hearing it being played, checking it still works!
“The prince brought back the role when I just started playing, so for me to get the opportunity to fulfill the role is wonderful. I’m looking forward to serving the Royal Family and promoting the harp and Welsh culture.”
What’s more, Anne said she’s determined to “explore” the use of the harp.
She said: “The harp is a powerful and versatile instrument, and I am committed to exploring and expanding its use in musical and educational fields.”
Prince Charles has been in Wales over the last few days, where he met the England and Australian cricket teams prior to the start of the eagerly-awaited Ashes series.
