Britain’s Prince William wants normal childhood for children

Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge want Prince George and Princess Charlotte to have a “normal childhood”.
The royal couple do not want their two-year-old son and 2-month-old daughter to think having lots of toys and gifts is ordinary.
An insider told the US edition of OK! magazine:”The nursery is looking more like a high-end department store than a place for kids to play. William and Kate are grateful for all the support, but they don’t want their children thinking this is normal.”
It’s also believed Prince William wants to shun ‘traditions just so they could just be kids” like his Mother Princess Diana did for Prince Harry and himself.
The source revealed that Princess Diana would challenge royal traditions to make sure growing up was like any other child’s experience.
The source said: “She [Diana] was always shunning traditions so they could just ‘be kids,’ and that’s what William wants. It’s difficult enough growing up in the spotlight without being branded as bratty.”
Prince George has received more than 700 gifts since he was born and according to the source “both he and Charlotte will need to learn to deal with it as graciously as their parents do”.
The source added: “People treat George like a little god, constantly trying to hand him cards and toys. “Both he and Charlotte will need to learn to deal with it as graciously as their parents do.”
