‘Aloof’ Prince Charles Talks Dogs

Britain’s Prince Charles appeared “aloof” when he met an expert dog trainer.
Roy Dyer of Brentwood, Essex, admits the royal heir was a bit distant when he met him and wife Duchess Camilla at the 134th Sandringham Flower Show – but did show interest in his work.
He told the Brentwood Gazette: “Prince Charles was OK, he is a little bit aloof but he was very interested in what we did and where we did it.
“The Duchess of Cornwall said, ‘I have met these people before, I went to their training centre.’ There’s no nerves because she came towards me and said, ‘It’s so good to see you again.’
“I thought that’s so nice. It was quite touching, of all the people she meets worldwide she clearly remembers me and we had a good chat about dogs.”
Roy was recently appointed an MBE for his services to dogs and the community, so it’s not his first brush with the royal family.
He added: “I have actually met every one of the Royal Family at royal tournaments.
“We did 28 displays at royal tournaments and at each event we were present with a different member.”
