Kate to join Prince William for Caribbean Royal Tour
Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge will accompany her husband Prince William on his Caribbean Royal Tour.
The couple will be joined by their children, Prince George, two, and three-month-old Princess Charlotte when they visit some of the 16 Commonwealth countries where Queen Elizabeth is Head of State.
The news comes admidst speculation that the 33-year-old princess made a conscious decision to spend more time at home with her family – since being notably absent from William’s side at a number of social engagements recently – following the birth Charlotte in May.
It is thought that Catherine rescheduled her annual Middleton family holiday to Mustique – which usually takes place in the month of January – to join her husband and accomodate the trip that is due to take place early next year.
However the official visit to The Cayman Islands, The Bahamas and The British Virgin Islands – the latter being home to Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island and a favourite holiday destination for many of the Royals – is by no means a holiday.
A Royal insider told Daily MailOnline: “Nothing is certain yet but these things must be planned miles in advanced. It certainly won’t be a holiday.”
