Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to visit Dundee

Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are to make their first official visit to Dundee today (23.10.15).
The royals are set to tour the Scottish city to promote positive mental health for young people.
A spokesman for Kensington Palace said: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to be visiting Dundee on Friday. Their Royal Highnesses, who first met while at the nearby University of St Andrews, are very much looking forward to returning to the region and having the opportunity to meet people from the city.
“They will visit a number of different organisations throughout the day, some of which will be more viewable to the public than others. If people would like to see their Royal Highnesses on Friday, we would suggest their visit to the Rep Theatre in the middle of the morning, or their visit to the Royal Research Ship Discovery early in the afternoon, would offer the best opportunities.”
Whilst in the city, the pair will take part in an anti-bullying workshop and visit the Dundee Rep theatre followed by the RRS Discovery, the ship kept at the city’s waterfront.
Their final stop will be at the city’s Abertay University, where they will help celebrate the successes of a game design competition organised by BAFTA exclusively for young people.
A spokesperson continued: “The mental wellbeing of young people is a major priority and they are delighted to be visiting Dundee and very much looking forward to the day.”
