Prince Charles in Maltese shop shock

Britain’s Prince Charles was shocked to be served by the same lady in a shop in Malta as he was 47 years ago.
The Prince of Wales popped into store Greenhand, where he purchased a leather bag and a belt in 1968, in Mdina while indulging in a spot of retail therapy with wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, only to spot the shop is now run by the woman who served him when he was 19.
Owner Jane Attard told the surprised royal: “I’m 91.”
An astonished Charles replied: “You’re not! I’m nearly 70.”
The shopkeeper managed to dig out the royal letter she received from Charles’ former equerry back in 1968 which praised the high quality of goods in her store.
The 67-year-old prince and Camilla were keen to purchase a Maltese lace table centrepiece from the shop but Jane insisted they take it as a gift.
It appears the quality of the shop’s wares certainly hasn’t waned in all the years as Camilla was full of praise for the goods.
She told Jane’s son John, 58: “They’re beautiful, absolutely beautiful.”
