Zara Phillips attends Cheltenham Festival

Zara Phillips was the royal guest of honour at Cheltenham Festival’s Champion Day.
The 34-year-old royal – who is an Olympic medal-winning equestrian – attended the event alongside celebrities like Jamie Redknapp and Sir Tony McCoy.
A love of horses runs in Zara’s family blood as her husband Mike Tindall previously revealed the couple’s daughter, two-year-old Mia, has inherited her mother’s love of horses.
He said previously: “Mia our daughter has inherited a love of horses. She has a Shetland pony and she enjoys it so I think her mum has passed that love on … me on the other hand, well I’m more of a football man.”
Cheltenham Racecourse has recently had a permanent addition, The Princess Royal Stand, which was opened by Princess Anne – Zara’s mother – recently.
Speaking at the ceremony to mark the occasion, she said: “I’m hugely impressed by what has been achieved here on time. I know that new stands cause their own particular issues when people have been coming here for a long time but I don’t think it will take a long time for you to work out your own rat runs and it will be just as good as it was in that sense.
“The viewing perspective is much greater and there will be much more to enjoy. So a huge thank you to Cheltenham for what they have invested in National Hunt racing so we can all enjoy it. I am really touched that you should have asked me to lend my name to this stand.”
