Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge opens charity shop

Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge officially opened a charity shop today (18.03.16).
The 34-year-old royal toured East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices’ new charity shop in Holt, Norfolk and didn’t let the rain dampen her spirits.
In a series of tweets, Kensington Palace’s official Twitter account reads: “HRH, who is Royal Patron of EACH, has arrived for their new shop’s official opening … She was taken on a tour of the new store and met shop volunteers and families supported by @EACH_hospices … The Duchess was also the charity shop’s first customer! #EACHholt (sic)”
The Duchess clearly had her two children – two-year-old son Prince George and ten-month-old Princess Charlotte – on her mind as she picked up a figurine and a Fireman Sam book whilst at the shop.
Meanwhile, the Duchess is reportedly desperate to spend as much time as she can with her children ahead of her and the Duke of Cambridge’s official visit to Bhutan and India next month.
A source said: “After attending the Commonwealth Service on Monday in London Kate was keen to get back to her children in Norfolk.
“Until she goes on tour in four weeks’ time, she’ll be spending all her time with the kids so don’t expect to see much public duties from her.”
