Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge alters dress

Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge altered her £795 Temperley London dress to meet the Indian Prime Minister.
The 34-year-old royal chose to add modesty panels to the bust area of her stunning mint green lace dress as well as elongating the lining of the skirt for her and her husband, the Duke of Cambridge’s lunch with PM Narenda Modi.
A post on Kensington Palace’s Twitter reads: “Thank you @narendramodi for a wonderful lunch and your warm hospitality. Look forward to seeing you again in the future #RoyalVisitIndia (sic)”
Whilst Mr Modi added: “Had a very good interaction with the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge. #RoyalVisitIndia @KensingtonRoyal (sic)”
Fashion has been a big part of the royal couple’s trip to India, with Duchess Catherine opting to make a “tribute to Mumbai’s wonderful design talent” through her clothing choices.
A source said of her chosen outfits: “She really wanted to wear a local designer at the earliest possible opportunity as a tribute to Mumbai’s wonderful design talent. This dress is a perfect way to do that.”
