Prince Harry visist boxing club in London

Britain’s Prince Harry stepped into a boxing ring on Monday (06.06.16) in south east London.
The 31-year-old royal attended the Double Jab Boxing Club in the capital as part of his bid to encourage social development through sport and during his visit, Harry speculated why the activity is so popular among young people.
He asked the club’s founder Patrick Harris: “Boxing has in the last two or three years gone through the roof. Why?”
To which he replied: “It’s a way to keep fit and people like to have confrontation in the ring. It becomes a discipline, like a way of life.”
Patrick also revealed the royal wanted to return “to have a go with me on the pads” and watched the children and teenagers spar.
He told four-year-old Raymond Harris: “You’ve got to go for the chin.”
The flame haired royal – who founded the Invictus Games in 2014 – is keen to use “his understanding” of sports to lift young people out of bleak circumstances.
A Kensington Palace spokesman said: “Prince Harry hopes to develop his understanding of the sector and use his position to support the great work that is already taking place across the country to ensure that community sports groups continue to play a key role in improving the life chances of disadvantaged young people.”
