Princess Anne taken ill in Balmoral

Princess Anne is in hospital after falling ill in Balmoral.
The 66-year-old royal is said to have been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in Scotland on Wednesday (07.09.16) and has cancelled all of her upcoming engagements as she is “feeling unwell”.
According to BBC News, Anne – who is Queen Elizabeth’s daughter – has been battling with a bad chest infection and has been advised by doctors to take some time off from her duties.
Anne was expected to visit HM Prison Grampian in Peterhead on Thursday (08.09.16) but postponed the trip.
The Princess Royal’s schedule has been jam-packed this summer having not long got back from Rio for the Olympic Games.
Anne jetted off to Rio to check out the team’s training grounds in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
HRH – who is the president of the British Olympic Association (BOA) – was accompanied on her tour by Lord Sebastian Coe, who won the gold medal for Great Britain in 1980 and 1984 for his triumph in the middle distance athletics race.
Anne was introduced to the Team Great Britain athletes including marathon swimmer Kerri-Anne Payne, as well as Brazilian athletes.
The mother of two – who has daughter Zara, 35, and son Peter, 38, with her former husband Mark Phillips – continued her tour and visited the Federal University of Minas Gerias, the site of the athletics and swimming training areas.
