Prince William’s Attitude cover up for award

Prince William’s cover of Attitude magazine has been nominated for an award.
The 34-year-old royal was interviewed and photographed for the gay magazine’s July issue, and the article has since been given a nod for Best Scoop at The British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME) Awards.
Matthew Todd, Attitude’s editorial director – who is up for Men’s Editor of the Year – said: “I’m proud that I’ve been recognised again in my last year editing Attitude and also that our historic cover story with HRH Prince William has been nominated for Scoop of the Year.”
The winners will be announced at the 2016 BSME Awards on November 15 at The Sheraton Grand London Park Lane Hotel in central London.
In the feature, William pledged support to those being bullied for their sexuality.
He said at the time: “The young gay, lesbian and transgender individuals I met through Attitude are truly brave to speak out and to give hope to people who are going through terrible bullying right now. Their sense of strength and optimism should give us all encouragement to stand up to bullying wherever we see it.
“What I would say to any young person reading this who’s being bullied for their sexuality: don’t put up with it. You should be proud of the person you are and you have nothing to be ashamed of.”
