It’s been a busy week for lovebirds Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
On Wednesday, the couple attended a reception for the Commonwealth Youth Forum and, today, they got all dressed up for a Women’s Empowerment Forum at the Royal Aeronautical Society as part of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
The black tie reception brings together important figures from most of the 53 countries that make up the Commonwealth. The goal is to brainstorm ways of get more young girls into education across the globe.
Hosted by U.K. Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, tonight’s event is the perfect fit for Meghan when it comes to royal duties. As a vocal feminist and former UN Women’s ambassador, the former actress has been all about women’s rights long before she ever laid eyes on the World’s Most Eligible Bachelor.
At the inaugural Royal Foundation Forum in February, Markle said, “Women don’t need to find their voices, they need to be empowered to use it and people need to be urged to listen.”
Also, check your calendars folks, because today also marks exactly one-month until the Royal Wedding. (Not that we’re counting or anything.) The couple will tie the knot at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19.
Can’t wait that long to see Meghan in a wedding gown? How about this teaser clip from her final season on the legal drama, Suits, where her character Rachel gets to walk down the aisle.
