What’s in Store for Travel?

There’s no denying it is a strange world we live in right now.  None of us could have expected this, and everyone is dealing with the unknown in different ways.

With #StayAtHome orders starting to lift, the destinations or experiences we have been busy dreaming about are a bit closer to being a reality. Participation in our Dream Away Travel Enrichment Series has shown us that there are many people still excited about travel and are counting the days until borders open and travel bans are reversed.

We know some travel dreams and aspirations will stay the same with the timeline altered, but others may change as a result of what we are experiencing. Our travel advisors have been helping our clients navigate the disruptions and changing short term and long-term travel plans.  However, they are also busy learning about new destinations and experiences and are ready to share their knowledge with you.

Travelling Safely

Our travel partners have been implementing measures to keep everyone safe when travel returns and this past week they shared some promotions with us.  Most of them are for travel into 2021 and they all come with flexible cancellation policies since there are still a few uncertainties.

One of the most common precaution will be temperature screening. Airlines and cruise lines are making this a standard pre-boarding process. High touch areas are being cleaned with hospital grade disinfectants. Air Canada has committed to only allowing every other seat to be booked, allowing clients to practice social distancing. Additionally, face masks will be mandatory for passengers and crew.
