Citrus Splash-sicles

Ingredients

1/3 cup (75 mL) organic cane sugar
1-1/3 cups (325 mL) Ryza original, divided
1 cup (250 mL) orange juice
3 tbsp (45 mL) fresh lime juice
2 tbsp (30 mL) fresh lemon juice

Directions

In small saucepan, bring sugar and 1/3 cup (75 mL) of the Ryza to a boil over medium-high heat, swirling pan occasionally, until sugar has dissolved, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

Whisk in remaining Ryza original, orange juice, lime juice and lemon juice. Pour into ice pop molds. Freeze until firm, about 4 hours.

Makes 4 to 6 splash-sicles (about 3 cups/750 mL total liquid mixture)

tip 1: No ice pop molds? No problem! Pour citrus mixture into six 5 oz (142 mL) paper cups; cover each with plastic wrap. Make a small slit in centre of wrap; place a wooden craft stick through slit into mixture. Freeze; remove plastic wrap and pull away paper cup before serving.

tip 2: While fresh is best, organic lemon and lime bottled juices are available in health food stores and most major grocery stores.
