Rob Ford Makes Second Announcement to Apologize, Not Resign

After Rob Ford’s statement this morning admitting he smoked crack cocaine in the last year while in a “drunken stupor,” Toronto’s mayor decided to make one more statement apologizing to the city of Toronto. During his announcement, Ford said he was “sincerely, sincerely, sincerely” sorry and that he has “nothing to hide.” Well, after a police investigation releasing suspicious photos, an admission to smoking crack cocaine – while in a drunken stupor, no less – we hope there aren’t any skeletons left in his closet. Ford also said he feels like “1000 pounds” have been lifted off his shoulders. The one thing Ford did not say is that he would resign. Instead, he would like to leave it up to the city of Toronto in the 2014 elections. Yes, he is going to continue in his role as mayor.
