Johnson & Johnson to Help Bring a New Blood Test to Market

Johnson & Johnson has joined forces with a team of scientists at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston to help find ways to bring a revolutionary new blood test to market. The test is capable of locating a single free-floating cancer cell in the midst of a billion healthy cells and could be an invaluable tool for predicting and evaluating the effectiveness of cancer treatments. Requiring as little as two teaspoons of blood, the test also eschews painful tissue samples. Four major American cancer centres will begin studies using the test this year.
