Could it be as easy as limiting your sitting and sleeping to 23 and half hours a day? Dr. Mike Evans, a physician at St. Michael’s Hospital and professor at the University of Toronto claims much of our health woes can be improved through exercise and as little as an hour or even 30 minutes each day – hence the title of his YouTube video 23 and 1/2 hours: What is the single best thing we can do for our health?, extolling the benefits of his “program.” The video has been viewed over a million and half times so far – perhaps it’s the clever format but more than likely it’s the simple message. Evans did his research and the “intervention” was seen to help everything from arthritis and Alzheimer’s to heart disease and hypertension. A half hour doesn’t seem so much and perhaps simple is better, after all.
