Cocktail Recipe: Muskoka Sunset
In light of the G8 summit taking place in Canada’s Muskoka, we give this cocktail recipe bound to brighten up your weekend at the cottage, entertaining or reading quietly on your deck.
-11/2 oz (3tbsp/45ml) Gibson’s Finest Canadian Whisky
-1/4 cup (4tbsp/60ml) frozen (thawed) blueberries
-1/2 oz (1 tbsp/15ml) lemon juice
-1/2 oz (1 tbsp/15ml) simple syrup
-2 oz (4 tbsp/60 ml) white cranberry juice
-Lemon for garnish
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add whisky, blueberries, lemon juice, simple syrup and white cranberry juice. Shake and strain into a tall glass with ice. Garnish with a long lemon zest.
Simple syrup can be made by combining equal parts sugar and boiling water.
