Fashion Blogger Tavi Gevinson and Sassy Founder Jane Pratt Team Up

In June 2010 hit teen fashion blogger, known for her blog, Style Rookie Tavi Gevinson spoke passionately about her favourite magazine, Sassy at ideaCity. During Gevinson’s presentation she shared her plans on how she would re-purpose the magazine saying things like, “it would be honest and would encourage teen girls to be vocal.” Now, only a few months later Gevinson is teaming up with founder of the magazine, Jane Pratt, to create a new book.

Times have changed since 1988, so the magazine will not be a replica of the original, but Gevinsion says they will “use Sassy as a point of reference for the whole teen-magazine-that-doesn’t-suck thing,” adding, ‘for the people, by the people’ kinda vibe.”
